One of the most common questions asked about HGH is whether it can make users grow taller. Between the ages of about 12 and 18, your body is still growing. During this time, the administration of HGH can help you add inches to your height. As such, HGH is an essential part of therapy for children who have growth disorders such as dwarfism. However, between 18 and 21 years old, growth plates on your bones fuse together and essentially “lock” your height. Administering HGH may cause individual bones in your body to thicken, but it will not lengthen them.

Thankfully nebulisers are not essential for home asthma.  During the 90s a number of studies showed that the spacer and mask is just as effective for mild to moderate asthma exacerbations. 6  puffs of ventolin is equivalent to one paediatric nebule, and 12 puffs are equivalent to an adult dose.  However some parents find that nebulisers are less stressful (and vice versa) and still use these on occasion.  The benefit of nebulisers are more for those children with severe attacks of asthma that require oxygen to be given at the same time, hence they are readily used in doctors’ surgeries and emergency departments.

If asthma symptoms are frequent or unpredictable, your allergist may advise you to take medications on a routine basis. Drugs used for this purpose include inhaled steroids, antileukotrienes, cromolyn and related drugs, inhaled or oral beta agonists (some of which are long acting), long-acting theophyllines, or oral steroids. For allergic patients, immunotherapy (allergy shots) may offer relief from allergens that cannot be avoided. Immunotherapy increases a patient's tolerance to the allergens that prompt asthma symptoms and appears to help control the inflammation that underlies chronic asthma.
